Abstract
This article examines the activities of the Central Asian State University (currently the National University of Uzbekistan) during the Second World War (1941–1945). The study analyzes the reorganization of educational, scientific, and social activities under wartime conditions, as well as the contribution of faculty members and students to the front and home front efforts. Special attention is paid to the role of evacuated scholars in strengthening the university’s academic potential, training specialists for military needs, and conducting research aimed at supporting the defense industry and national economy. The article concludes that the university made a significant contribution to the fight against fascism and continued its development as a major scientific and educational center during the war years.
